Celtic Tribal Tattoo Design

Celtic Tribal Tattoo Designs are classic works of art that convert greatly into tattoos. It can be rather tough to find the right design for your next piece of artwork online though. I decided to share a little bit of knowledge and help guide you in your quest for finding your next piece of tattoo artwork.

These designs gained inspiration from an ancient method of public relation. When the Romans took over Ireland, Christian priests flooded into the country in order to convert the Celts. The Celts did not use a written language, but they did use an extremely original visual style, which intertwined their love of nature with their attempts to show the complexity of life. They did this with designs that have no beginning as well as no end. By using this style of the early Celts, and combining it with Christianity the priests decorated many of their early Bibles with this fresh style. Resulting in an entire nation being converted to Christianity and the beginning of the Celtic Tribal Tattoo design.

It is not possible to say whether or not the Celts used their designs for tattoos as well. Julius Caesar did however write about seeing Celts with tattoos, although he did not indicate as to what kind they were. Still the distinctive Celtic Tribal Tattoo designs with their intertwining knots and representations of animals and other natural beings have kept their "cool factor" because they are directed on simulating a feeling and emotion rather than a realistic representation of the object.

If you are contemplating getting a Celtic Tribal Tattoo design, be sure and find a tattoo artist that specializes in the form. The background of these designs are filled with horrible versions of creative designs from artists that did not quite understand the task they were trying to achieve. Celtic designs are some of the hardest and most labor-intensive style of tattoo artwork available. Be sure you examine the portfolio of the artist so your tattoo can hold up to its 2000 year-old history.

How to Build Your First Custom Motorcycle

You have decided that you want to own a custom motorcycle, but you're not quite sure how or where to begin. There are a few things to think about before you start on your journey for that original, unique, or unusual motorcycle.

chopper bicycle

First, do you want to fully build a custom motorcycle from the frame up, do you want to modify an existing bike, or order one already built to your specifications? What size bike are you thinking about? Large, small or in the middle? Do you want agility & speed, or do you just want to look good while you cruise the highway?  You will need to decide how much money you can afford to spend in the long run & whether your ownership plan will most likely take you weeks, months or even years to complete.

CHOPPER

Second, can you spare the time to do the customization/modification on your bike yourself, or do you have the resources to have the work done for you. If you are going to do your own work, (as do most of us) you'll need to consider what tools you will need, where your work space will be located, how much help from like-minded friends you're likely to get, and your level and variety of skills.  Last but not least, do you have the motivation and dedication to continue once you have started creating your own custom bike?

Third, how much work needs to be done on a bike to make it a custom motorcycle anyway?  This is a controversial argument.  Some say it is not a custom motorcycle, unless you change out basically everything on the bike and others say changing just a couple of things makes it custom. This is the logical answer; make it uniquely yours in any way you choose!  Build it, modify it, lighten it, strengthen it, downsize it, expand it, make it more agile, paint it, build it up, or strip it down, just make it yours!  If you have had it modified and it is no longer "stock", or you've modified it yourself, congratulations! You now own a custom motorcycle!

Fourth, get out there and ride!!

Slap Chop Vs Quick Chop! Billy Versus Vince in the Kitchen Wars - Which is Better?

It could have been predicted that as soon as Vince Schlomi introduced the amazing Slap Chop that Billy Mays would counter with a similar device, the Quick Chop! Both are designed to make chopping and dicing everything from nuts to broccoli a cinch in the kitchen, saving time and hassle. Do they work? Consumers say yes, but not quite as perfectly as they do in their vibrant infomercials.

chopper

The Slap Chop sells for a penny under twenty bucks while the Quick Chop is .99. Both require shipping and handling charges but the slap chop comes with a cheese grater and a buy one get one free offer where you simply pay double the shipping. This makes it easy to get one for your self and as a holiday gift for someone else. The Quick chop also comes with a buy one get one free offer and instead of a cheese grater comes with folding cutting boards. Quite a useless addition to most consumers. The difference in the price is a mere seven bucks, however largely consumer reviews say there is quite a difference between the two on action.

CHOPPER

Both are advertised to chop, mince and dice even the hardest to cut foods like potatoes and nuts as well as provide enough sharpness to make salsa and fruit salad without causing a mushy mess. In side-by-side kitchen comparison tests, both did okay on the basic foods like onions and garlic while the Slap Chop was much more effective at chopping fruits and potatoes as well as nuts. The verdict, the Slap Chop's blade is much much sharper and definitely worth the additional .

In addition to that, the Slap Chop blades are interchangeable and have a butterfly effect, which allows them to open for cleaning. Both of these handy kitchen gadgets were prone to getting food particles and pieces stuck in the blades during chopping and the Quick Chop was a little more difficult to clean despite its claims to have a non-stick surface. The bottom line is that with ease and convenience, there will be some clean up and not every food will be diced to perfection.

Consumers seem to unanimously agree that the Slap Chop provides a sharper blade, a little less mess and has a more user-friendly design. However, both products do work well for every day kitchen use and they are definitely easier than dicing and chopping with a knife. Many customers feel that they both work better when the food items are at least halved or quartered before being put into the chamber. While Slap Chopping and Quick Chopping are perhaps safer for the majority of the population, culinary experts will still resort to their trustworthy sharp knives for kitchen dicing. It is difficult to predict the size and exact size of the foods in the Quick and Slap Choppers and you are pretty much stuck with just one consistency.

If you are in the mood for some quick chopping, it is probably best to go with Vince Schlomi and the Slap Chop which has stronger and blades. While the cheese grater for free may come in handy, the folding cutting boards free with the Quick chop will not. For a mere difference, it is worth getting the better and more versatile kitchen utensil.

Washing Your Chopper Motorcycle After Assembling

After you had assembled your chopper motorcycle, you are free to wash it. Wash each and every part properly which you have painted. For washing purpose, you can use any soaps or detergents which are specially made for motorcycles washing. You should not use common soap or dishwashing detergent, as they are too strong and will remove or affect the paint from your bike badly. Using a scrub or a hard brush with these soap or detergent might remove the paint.

Use of Acidic Cleaners

CHOPPER

Always use non-acidic cleaners to wash your bike. Non-acidic cleaner does not contain any chemical like Ethylene Glycol Monobutyl Ether. Acidic cleaner or chemical cleaner have quick effect but they can also damage the paint as well as the body (metal) of the motorcycle. Most of the cleaners contain a strong chemical like Ethylene Glycol Monobutyl Ether. Therefore, make it sure before buying any cleaner that it is a non-acidic cleaner.

Recommendation

It is not a good practice to wash your chopper motorcycle with cold water, if the painted parts of your bike have been heated by any means. As it might cause the metal underneath to contract and break the bond with the paint and you will have several cracks. Use normal water and a gentle stream to avoid scratches.

Try to wash your chopper motorcycle in the late afternoon or early morning when the sun is not too bright. The sap from the tree might damage the paint of your motorcycle; therefore you should not wash it under tree. It is recommended to wash your motorcycle under the fenders. If possible remove the seat or any other leather bag attached to your bike before washing it, as water can damage the leather material. Again, it is not good to use pressure washers, as excessive water pressure will cause lost of paint.

Remove the Paint from the Engine

After assembling the motorcycle, remove the paint form the engine of your chopper motorcycle. You can remove the paint form the engine by using special Liquid cleaners. These types of cleaners are generally known as chemical cleaners. Liquid cleaners are not as aggressive as abrasive cleaners, and are quite safer and abrasive cleaners for most painted surfaces. There types cleaners are generally used for removing old wax and contaminants like spots, stain, rust, tar, and bug spattering. There are some contaminants which are not removed during the washing process. These cleaners are also come in the paste form. Generally, paste cleaners are used for heavy rust, severe scratches and real blending of the paint.

How to Apply the Cleaner

Apply the cleaner on an applicator and start rubbing the applicator on the engine of your motorcycle. But don't apply the any cleaner directly on the painted surface of your motorcycle. You should apply the cleaner to the applicator and then fold the applicator. Mark the cleaner lightly over the applicator and then use it. Always apply small amount of cleaner at a time.

Always wash thoroughly your applicators with the mild soap and detergent. You should use liquid fabric softener or dryer sheets. The residue left on your towels can cause streaking of the paint form your chopper motorcycle. Therefore, you should keep changing the towel (used to apply the cleaner) at regular interval of time.

Custom Chopper Kits

Choosing the parts that your custom chopper will be made of can be very confusing, considering the large numbers of custom chopper bike kits available on the market today. Chopper innovators like Biker's Choice, Phantom Cycle, Paul Yaffe and many more sell chopper-in-a-box kits available for chopper enthusiasts. Thanks to these kits, custom choppers have become quite affordable and are no longer necessarily toys for millionaires or master mechanics.

chopper

Custom chopper kits provide the future chopper owner with all the instructions and just about every component necessary to create a perfect chopper of ones dreams. Jesse James, famous for his Discovery series "Monster Garage", offers a Big Book catalogue loaded with individual parts and accessories needed to create a fully custom bike with truly unusual frame configurations and groundbreaking metal sheet parts as seen on his TV show. However, the most exquisite details, such as an unusual tortoiseshell finish of the gas tank, can be obtained in your custom chopper only if you have your chopper built from scratch by Jesse himself.

CHOPPER

Before you start building your custom chopper you need to ask yourself what kind of chopper are you interested in building. Then you have to set up a budget for parts, labor and inevitable cost overruns. The price of the parts has scared many chopper enthusiasts from building a custom chopper of their own, but if you have exact specifications and the time and skills to invest into the project, then parts can be fairly inexpensive. If you choose the parts for your kit at the lower end spectrum, you will still end up with bike that will look like a Jesse James creation but will still have enough money left to throw a party when your new chopper leaves the garage.

When you select the parts for your custom chopper kit, try to use the most genuine parts available on the market within your price range. Sometimes even if you have a beautiful design in-mind, you can end up with poor-looking chopper, due to a lack of attention to detail by different suppliers

Complete custom chopper kits typically consists of an engine, chassis kit, exhaust pipes, tires, steel tanks and other metal parts, taillights, various controls, a seat, headlamp and many more. The extras supplied with a chopper kit would vary depending on the brand of chopper chosen. To finish your project, you will need paint and sometimes battery acid. Most chopper kits do not provide mirrors, speedometers or other accessories. These you can buy separately according to your taste.

To avoid unpredictable result, experienced chopper builder recommend waiting until you can afford buying all the accessories from one manufacturer. Waiting may not be easy when it comes to building your dream come true. But when you finally complete your custom chopper, you will be really glad you waited.
