"Whose chopper is this"

"Its Zeds chopper baby."

"Who is Zed?"

"Zeds dead baby, Zeds dead."

Now, most of us who were alive during the Nineties remember this scene from the classic American film, Pulp Fiction. I remember watching this movie for the first time and then wondering to myself, "What the hell is a difference between a chopper and a motorcycle?" This was before shows like American Chopper and Monster Garage came on to the scene and helped educate the public on the difference between a motorcycle and a custom built chopper.

A chopper is pretty much a motorcycle that had been customized, or "chopped" to give it individuality. The practice of building custom motorcycle choppers started sometime after World War Two when the biker culture began. Veterans came back from Europe, and found the big clunky motorcycles built by Harley Davidson and Indian unsatisfactory when compared to the lighter, faster European bikes. They decided to change the bikes by removing anything and everything that was unnecessary. They began to shorten, or remove the fenders to give the bike a sleeker look and the term "chopper" was born.

The custom-built chopper motorcycle evolved further during the sixties and seventies. Bikers began removing everything that was deemed unnecessary and replacing everything that seemed too big. Out went the windshield, the big blinkers and the big seats. The began raking the front wheel, so that it extended further out from the bike, giving the motorcycle a "cool" look and raising the handle bars higher. These customized motorcycles began to morph away from anything that was factory standard and became unique as each owner tailored their individual bike to what they deemed necessary.

The chopper took on an American Iconic status after the release of "Easy Rider" in 1969. Soon thereafter, the idea of a custom built motorcycle left the realm of the outlaw biker and entered the domain of the typical American. Soon, talented designers opened their own customizing shops replacing the guy in the backyard who put together bikes for fun. People started going to these shops to get their customized choppers instead of building it themselves.

As the baby boomer generation began to age, the demand for these nostalgic symbols of individuality began to rise. Soon, custom-built motorcycles were being produced and sold for exorbitant prices. Choppers were no longer the vehicles for the outlaw biker. They had instead become the status symbol for the weekend hobbyist with expendable income. Still, when I see one of these bankers going through a midlife crises flying down the freeway on a Chopper I cannot help but feel a shiver of danger and rebellion.

Chopper Tattoos - The Good, The Bad and The Ugly About Chopper Tattoos

Since I was a kid I was always interested in the bad ass look. The look that every hot chick dreams of. The man that they cannot tame but again they cannot get rid of you because you have something that no one can offer, the image of excitement, fear, terror and confidence.

chopper bike

I usually look at bikers as the bad guys that gets away with a lot of things. I don't know about you but watching Wild Hogs was pretty funny. I knew that there are people out there that just dress like, smell like and look like a biker but not really one.

CHOPPER

What really gets me and gets my attention is the tattoos. The tattoos are really the symbol if they are just a posers or the real deal. If you think about it, anyone can get a tattoo but knowing that it will stick on you for life is pretty drastic thing to do. It's a more than a symbol but its a commitment that you're stuck with that image for life (unless you get another tattoo over it like happy feet or bugs bunny), but you know what I mean. Also, getting a chopper tattoo does not mean you're a criminal or looking for trouble everywhere you go. It just means that it's the image you like and the image you want to play.

Since the tattoo is a big issue for the image then it is important to get a good tattoo design. Getting a tattoo design is not a pretty easy tasks. First, chopper tattoos are unique and eye catching. Second, choosing a tattoo design at the tattoo shop is a limited source to pick out, and please do not limit your self on their tattoo designs. Third, make sure you get the tattoo design that connects to the public that you're a bad ass mother that they should respect and not mess with.

What I would do is search online of what tattoo designs you like that would match or integrate with your new chopper tattoo. If you're going to commit to this new lifestyle might as well invest in it because you already spend the money for you bike so might as well spend on a good chopper tattoo design.

There's is one I would recommend that I found online. They offer unlimited access for life and they are experts on only chopper tattoo designs. If you're are interested in checking them out the link will be in the resource section so check them out. Also I like the price for a lifetime access. Because you know you will end up not only getting one but more than one, or two or three.

I hope you'll find the right chopper tattoo design for you that will fit your style. Remember, it's not the bike , or the outfit. Its the symbol on your skin that counts. So make sure you pick the right one, because if you do not. Then you will be back for some more needle time or your tattoo will tell everyone that you ride a moped.

Wax Coating Your Chopper Motorcycle

It is time to think of wax coating, once you are satisfied with the condition of the paint of your motorcycle, now start the wax coating. Wax coating helps to preserve the paint as it contains some oils which decrease the rust or oxidation. Wax coating also protects the paint of your chopper motorcycle from natural risks such as dung of the birds, sap from the tree, smog and the ultraviolet rays of the sun. Wax coating gives the strength, shiny finish and richness to the paint. Therefore wax coating is very essential.

There Are Three Different Types Of Waxes:

CHOPPER

1. Liquid Wax
2. Paste Wax
3. Spray Wax

The liquid wax coating is very easy, but commercial automotive liquid wax is not as durable as paste wax. You can choose a natural wax, such as Carnauba. Carnauba is a tree which is harvested in Brazil, and its leaves are used in wax. Wax with a high carnauba contents is the best. You can view the carnauba contents in any wax (liquid, paste and spray) by going though its label.

Avoid the use of spray wax coating on your motorcycle, as it is too thin as compare to liquid and paste waxes. It is recommended to have two medium applications of wax rather than a single heavy one. Rectangular applicators are quite better that round applicators kitchen sponge. If you are using regularly sponge to wax your chopper motorcycle's paint finish, then you are doing a right thing as it will improve the inherent beauty of the paint. It can protect the paint from the perils of the surroundings and regular riding, and keep your bike looking its best.

Wax coating is not only important, it is very necessary. Some people avoid wax coating and their finish will absolutely suffer from the neglect. Therefore, wax coating is very necessary.

Synthetic wax popularity is growing rapidly as a commercial automotive for motorcycles. Synthetic wax seals off the painted surface with a wall that can last for 9 months, with the very best blends. The synthetics are very clear and shine transparent, therefore it can also achieve a mock Carnauba shines.

Things to Keep in Mind while applying Wax Coating

Wax coating is done in similar way as the base and final coating, in a linear back and forward motion following the shape of the surface. This avoids print swirl marks into the finish.

You can use your fingers as the applicator to apply the wax on your chopper motorcycle. This will allow you to detect any clench or rough particles before you end your painting job.

Wash your hands with after applying wax coating.

During your painting job, always try to use approved cleaners and waxes. Non-approved cleaners may work very effectively for removing road tar but these are able to remove or dull the paint of your chopper motorcycle.

Avoid regular contact (rubbing) with any cloth or towel on your recently painted motorcycle.

We hope all the above information helps in the maintenance of your bike, watch out for more articles on looking after your Chopper Bike.

Eight Reasons to Build Your Own Chopper or Kit Bike

Choppers are great fun to ride, and if you want to build one it can be an amazing and rewarding experience. You can buy one from a former owner or from a custom motorcycle builder. Here are eight reasons to build your own custom chopper or kit bike:

chopper bicycle for sale

1. Kit bikes are easy to build compared to a "start from scratch" chopper. You start with a rolling chassis and go from there. You are only committing to the frame, motor and front end when you go with a kit bike. If you have never built a motorcycle before, the kit bike is the way to start and then later build a scratch chopper. You'll end up with a classy ride you love even when you begin with a kit.

CHOPPER

2. The customization is entirely up to you. You choose the accessories and features for your motorcycle and the end product won't be like every other bike on the road!

3. The experience is a great reason to build. Not only will you learn about motorcycle design, balancing and ergonomics, you will know how every single part in the motorcycle works and be able to perform repairs easily.

4. The chopper you build, whether from a kit or from scratch, will fit you and your personal needs. If you love suicide shifts, you can have it. If you want a lower profile for easy balance when stopped, you can design that right into the motorcycle. Ladies, especially, love the custom motorcycle because many petite women don't feel comfortable with a high profile motorcycle, yu can build the motorcycle to suit your body.

5. Building your own chopper is a LOT less expensive than building a built machine. If you design and build your own scoot, you'll get what you want at a fraction of the price a custom builder will charge. After all, you are putting out all the sweat equity yourself!

6. By building your own chopper, you can spread the expense over a period of time rather than having to pay for everything up front. When you buy a showroom motorcycle, whether chopped or not, you have to pay for everything at one time. This often means financing becomes involved and you have to plan for all those payments. If you are already on the road on a stock bike or another chopper, you can perform your build of a new chopper over a period of time, adding parts as you have the money. Sure, this may not be the fast track to having a completed ride, but it can often represent the sensible way to get what you want and have it paid for in full when you first ride out! You'll save tons of money on interest chargers over financing.

7. Bonding with friends and fellow riders is another great reason to build a bike. Usually when you start a build, friends drop by to help and see the progress. This allows quality time to chat and share tips and tricks. Sure, bonding can occur on the road, but it's nice to have some garage time with your buddies.

8. Family members are often more supportive of the motorcycle when you are putting time into it at home yourself. It keeps you at home and the whole family can participate in the project. Even the kids will get excited as the motorcycle comes together!

Who is Billy Mays? "But Wait! There's More"

Have you ever heard of Max Appel? Somehow I didn't think so.

Okay, so how about Billy Mays?

PRICE CHOPPER FLYER

Who is Billy Mays? He's the breaded man who will sell you your grandma's girdle for the amazingly low price of just .99. But wait! There's more. If you call the number below right now, he'll include a second girdle absolutely free. All you have to do is pay separate shipping and handling.

Max Apple is the founder of OrangeGlo International. Max was sincerely convinced that his company manufactured some of the most revolutionary cleaning products ever produced. The problem was how to market these products. Sure he could try to convince Wal-mart and other store chains to carry his products. But would good would that do? If no one had ever heard of Oxiclean, house wives across America would reach right past it for a product they recognized.

So Max did the only thing he could think to do. He took to spreading the word through home shows across America. During that effort, he chanced across Billy Mays (an unknown pitchman) at the 1993 Pittsburg Home Show. And the rest, as they say, is television history.

Max recognized a raw talent in Billy. And thus was born the soon to be King of Direct Response Marketing.

Billy debuted as the bearded pitch man for Oxiclean on the Home Shopping Network in 1996. OrangeGlo sales sky rocketed. In 1998 Billy's infomercials for Oxiclean, OrangeGlo, Orange Clean and Kaboom pushed annual sales upwards of million. By 2002, the company boasted an estimated 0 million in sales and was named among the top ten fasted growing privately owned companies in the U.S. by Inc. magazine for two years in a row.

Billy's pitch for OrangeGlo meant with such phenomenal results that the company was soon bought out by Church & Dwight Co. makers of products such as Xtra and Arm and Hammer laundry detergent, Nice'N Fluffy fabric softener, Arm and Hammer, Close-Up, and Aim toothpastes, Trojan condoms, and First Response and Answers home pregnancy and ovulation test kits.

OrangeGlo products now enjoyed the prestige of sitting on super market selves across America along side the same products that would have erradicated its market share just a few years earlier. Wisely, Church & Dwight decided to retain Billy as the front man for their new product line. To date, Billy has sold over 0 million dollars worth of OrangeGlo products.

Mays, now a mutli-millionaire, could have stop there. But, of course, he didn't. Mays went on to become the CEO and founder of Mays Promotions Inc. based out of Odessa Florida. His services became highly sought after. He went on to pitch a plethora of "As Seen On TV" products until he screamed his way into becoming the reigning king of the two minute infomercial.

In May 2008, Mays became the official spokesman for the first company offering affordable health insurance for the uninsured, iCan Benefit Group LLC. In December of 08, TV spots of Billy doing a parody of himself began airing promoting ESPN's online service ESPN360.

In Febuary 2009, Billy Mays announced that Shamwow was a rip off of one of his pitch products, Zorbeez. Mays publicly challenged Vince Offer (of Shamwow fame) to a pitch off between the two products. Popular mechanics compared the two products on absorbency alone. Shamwow was declared the winner. No decision was rendered on personal sales pitch ability.

On April 15, 2009, the TV series Pitchmen debuted on the Discovery Channel. Pitchmen is a reality based program costarring Billy Mays and former pitch rival Anthony Sullivan (Swivel Sweeper, Stick Up Bulb, Smart Chopper). The show's premise is based on finding the next "Big" As Seen On TV product.

The Pitchmen begin by allowing potential candidates for the next as seen on TV promotion to pitch their must have inventions. The pitchmen then analyze the product to determine if it meats the following criteria; Is there a problem? Will this product solve that problem? Is the solution of this problem significant enough to justify a consumer purchase to rectify the problem? And last, but by no means least, is there a WOW factor? Will this product make the purchaser wonder why he or she didn't think of that as they pick up the phone and dial the 1-800 number?

Pitchmen then takes you step by step through the process of bringing the next as seen on TV product to fruition. They cover the entire gambit, from market and cost analysis, to contract negotiation and the mass manufacturing of the product. You watch the bloopers and outtakes as the infomercial sharpened into a finely honed pitched designed to make you pull your credit card out of your wallet and pick up the phone. Then you see the results of the manned sales staff taking orders from a viewing public determined to solve a problem they didn't even know existed just two minutes before.

So, if you have invested virtually every moment of your spare time trying to solve a problem that nobody in America even knew they have, to the point of having no life, no husband or wife and no kids, there may still be hope.

You could turn the channel on the TV and watch as Billy Mays says, "Billy Mays here for," the product you mortgaged your house for in hopes of turning your dreams into a reality.

Mini Harley Chopper Scooter - Not For Kids!

With a name like Mini Harley Chopper Scooter, anyone would misconstrue this as a kid's bike. The truth is that this bike should not be ridden by children without parental supervision. As a matter of fact, the Harley Davidson company strongly advises that parents should not allow children under the age of eighteen to ride this vehicle without adult supervision.

Not for the highway

CHOPPER

With its sophisticated and slim structure, it is no wonder that the Mini Harley Chopper Scooter presents quite an appeal to many motorcycle enthusiasts. Unfortunately, this bike is not for made for the highway. Because it is lightweight, it is very sensitive to movement and one can easily lose control of it. You can't really take it to the highway because the Mini Harley Chopper Scooter only runs at a speed of 50 to 60 miles an hour and cannot compete with the big trucks and speeding cars.

A bike worth showing off

This Mini Harley Chopper Scooter can definitely be shown off in your neighborhood. Driven at very low speeds, this can be used for recreational purposes and going around town running some errands.

Every Mini Harley Chopper Scooter comes with a Harley Davidson logo and a decorative fairing on the space between the handlebars and seat that depicts a burst of flames. This sleek, little bike can come in many colors -- red, black, silver and yellow chrome.

The Mini Harley Chopper Scooter has a small two stroke engine which does not consume a lot of fuel. The engine is also relatively quieter and purrs like a kitten instead of the loud and disturbing noise that other choppers make. It also comes with an electric ignition that has push button starter and has a speed of 2,200 rotations per minute.

Because the Mini Harley Chopper Scooter has front and rear disk brakes, it is a very safe bike that makes it impossible to pull a wheelie. It also comes with a set of stock parts that include a head light, rear and brake lights, turning signals, rear view mirrors, an electric horn, a speedometer, a battery gauge, high beam lights and an odometer. It also has a plush seat that can carry as much as 300 lbs even though it is very light weight. A custom charger and tool kit are part of the package.

Buy One or Make One

A Mini Harley Chopper Scooter can easily be bought online. Just place a bid on E-bay. Because a Mini Harley Chopper Scooter can be a bit expensive, one can also create a mini chopper by transforming a bike or a mini bike by putting some add-ons like paint, engines, windshields and exhaust pipes. It can be cut to form the low front ends that characterizes a mini chopper. It can be given a shiny finish by plating it with aluminum, chrome or nickel. Some people even use fiber glass fillers to create a glossy surface that can be decorated with airbrush art. Parading your own work of art around town will give you a greater feeling of pride and contentment. After all, you put a lot of work in creating such a masterpiece.

When building the perfect chopper, it can be difficult if you do not have the right parts or knowledge. However, chopper kits have made creating a chopper to your liking much easier than before as well as much more affordable. When choosing the right kit to use, you will first want to begin with deciding on the design of the chopper and the style. This will help you narrow down your choices . You will also want to think about the amount of money you are willing to spend and if there are any specific parts that should be included in your chopper kit. If you want to ensure optimal performance, you may want to look to chopper kits that have the best parts. However, if you do chose to purchase used parts, make sure there is not any damage or the parts are not over used because it will affect the performance of your chopper.

Some custom kits allow for the safe conversion of ordinary choppers into one which reflects your style and is completely original. However, if you proceed without proper knowledge or understanding on how to use the kit properly, you could be putting yourself in danger when building the chopper as well as when riding it. Custom chopper kits are a great way to modify your chopper, but it is important to always to stay safe.

Chopper Kits - Build Your Own Dream Chopper

If you want to have a dream chopper, then you should consider to build your own chopper kit. Chopper kits are called a bike in a box. chopper

There is just little difference between custom choppers and chopper kits. Because the variety of kits, the kit you will select is already unique by itself. There are people telling you that a chopper kit is not a real custom chopper. It's already pre-designed. But the fact is that on a custom chopper most of the time parts from other manufacturers are used. Does this mean that custom choppers don't exist? A kit is just a great base to start and develop your own chopper from. There are big and small chopper builders, but even the ones you see regularly on television use parts from other companies.

CHOPPER

All you need is a basic understanding of the mechanics behind choppers and it's good when you are handy with tools. There are very useful dvds and books on the market which could help you with building your kit. Most of the times extensive manuals and dvds are provided when you will buy a kit. The most experienced builders sometimes despair at the mid-way point of building such a complicated machine. It's useful when you have a guide, even when it's in paper format, which could help you.

Depending on your building and mechanic skills, it will take you at least 80 hours to put a kit together. Also think about the paint. This will also take a couple of weeks to have a perfect paint finish on your chopper.

You could start with the engine to assembling it on your bike or start with the steering unit of the chopper. But be aware to follow the provided directions to avoid trouble later on in the project.
